BATTERY CHARGING NOTICE

! WARNING ! FAILURE TO READ & FOLLOW COULD RESULT IN FIRE, EXPLOSION, INJURY, DEATH. OR LOST OF PROPERTY

  1. Must Read & understand the 101 owner’s manual before charging.
  2. Charge your battery in a space that's between 60° as well as 70° Fahrenheit (F) if possible. Most definitely avoid charging in freezing temperatures (listed below 32° F) or an ambient temperature level above 100o F.
  3. DO NOT charge overnight. We recommend charging in your garage in clean dry area using the charging bag provided with the bike. Discover a safe place to charge it, where it will not be disturbed by kids, pets, or get anything splashed on it.
  4. Shut off the battery.
  5. Only use an official 101 battery charger. Other chargers will cause damage and could be dangerous.
  6. Connect the battery charger right into the battery and after that into the wall making sure it's completely inserted at both ends and also you see an indicator light on the charger. This informs you that it is charging so there isn’t any type of shocks later.
  7. Do not use any extension cord. Plug directly into wall.
  8. Once it's plugged in, avoid allowing your electric bike battery to overheat and also keeping it away from wet and/or flammable surface areas.
  9. Leave it charging till it reaches 80-90% (if you won't be riding it soon), or up until the light turns green on the battery charger (if you plan on riding it).
  10. Unplug the charger and place it in a safe area where it will not be damaged.
  11. It's not recommended to leave an ebike battery charging after it reaches maximum capacity. Batteries that stay connected to chargers for days go into a discharge/recharge cycle. When the battery gets to 100%, it stops charging.
  12. We recommend you always use the 101 CHARGING SAFETY BAG included with your 101 Bike as a safety precaution and peace of mind.
  13. To improve the lifespan of your battery, avoid leaving it fully charged or fully discharged for long periods. Below are some added tips for optimizing your battery’s lifespan:
  • Never store a discharged battery
  • Recharge your battery every day
  • Don’t open the battery

In addition to this, make sure to protect your battery against:

  • Mechanical damage,
  • Heat, fire, and water.

If your battery comes in contact with any of these hazards, you’ll risk causing an explosion. It should be transported immediately in the supplied recharging bag to a battery recycling station for deposed of.
